چکیده

Lead (Pb) is a non-essential, highly toxic, and persistent element widely recognized as one of the most concerning pollutants. It listed on Priority List Hazardous Substances. Widespread environmental contamination from Pb serious issue for human health wildlife. In fish, mainly accumulates in liver, which key component metal detoxification excretion processes. this study, we investigated, first time, morphological functional injuries induced zebrafish (Danio rerio) liver by two very low environmentally relevant concentrations (2.5 5 μg/L) after 48, 96, 192 h exposure. We observed significant histological alterations all exposed samples, it was demonstrated that extent increased with dose exposure time. The common modifications were congestion blood vessels sinusoids, cytoplasmic vacuolizations, parenchyma dyschromia, macrophage proliferation. administration also resulted increase lipid content upregulation genes are involved (mtf1) defensive response against oxidative stress (sod1 cat). show even doses can disrupt morphology function.

Morphofunctional Alterations in Zebrafish (Danio rerio) Gills after Exposure to Mercury Chloride

Mercury (Hg) is a global pollutant that may exert its toxic effects on living organisms and is found in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems in three chemical forms; elemental, organic, and inorganic. The inorganic form (iHg) tends to predominantly accumulate in aquatic environments. The gill apparatus is a very dynamic organ that plays a fundamental role in gas exchange, osmoregulation, aci...

Alterations along the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid Axis of the Zebrafish (Danio rerio) after Exposure to Propylthiouracil

In the past, various approaches have been developed to detect adverse effects of pollutants on the thyroid of vertebrates, most of these with special emphasis on the South African clawed frog, Xenopus laevis. Although fish are primarily affected by thyroid-disrupting chemicals, studies into alterations of the thyroid of fish are scarce. Therefore, effects of the reference compound propylthioura...

Liver development in zebrafish (Danio rerio).

Liver is one of the largest internal organs in the body and its importance for metabolism, detoxification and homeostasis has been well established. In this review, we summarized recent progresses in studying liver initiation and development during embryogenesis using zebrafish as a model system. We mainly focused on topics related to the specification of hepatoblasts from endoderm, the formati...

Histopathological Changes of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) Ovaries Exposed to Sub-lethal Concentrations of Methyl Paraben

Paraben compounds are used widely as preservatives to inhibit microbial growth and extend used in pharmaceuticals, hygienic, cosmetics, care products. They pose the potential for reproductive toxicity for users. This paper provides an overview of the applications of histopathological biomarkers in reproductive toxicity in zebrafish caused by methylparaben. The present study investigated the cha...

Functional Characterization of Zebrafish (Danio rerio) Bcl10

The complexes formed by BCL10, MALT1 and specific members of the family of CARMA proteins (CBM complex), have recently focused much attention because they represent a central hub regulating activation of the transcription factor NF-κB following various cellular stimulations. In this manuscript, we report the functional characterization of a Danio rerio 241 amino acids polypeptide ortholog of th...
